Piano Recital Starring a My Little Pony
Coloring guide
Sitting on a cushioned stool, a young pony with big sparkly eyes, a long wavy mane and a striped tail rests both front hooves on the keys of a grand piano. She glances back over her shoulder with a sweet smile, almost like she wants you to stop and listen. Stage curtains are tied back on both sides, and long wooden planks run across the floor. Music notes and a few stars float above the piano, so the whole page feels like a tiny concert. The lines are clean and the shapes are large, which works for preschoolers and early elementary kids alike. Soft purple suits the mane and tail, deep red fits the curtains and golden yellow is nice for the stars. Print this sheet at home for a weekend craft or a classroom project. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the pony's body, face, and legs in pale yellow, leaving the eye whites and the small shine dots white.
- 2Color the piano body and lid in sky blue and the lighter top edges in light blue, then fill the piano legs and feet in navy blue.
- 3Fill the floor boards in light brown and the bench cushion in purple, with the bench legs in lavender.
- 4Paint the curtains red, the curtain ties and the stars golden yellow, and the music notes in sky blue, purple, green, orange, and light pink.
- 5Add the mane, tail, and forelock in hot pink, pale pink, and light pink stripes, leaving a few white gaps for shine.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading with a slightly darker tone along the edges of the piano and the bench for depth.
