Pooh and Piglet Strolling Beneath a Bent Tree

Winnie the Pooh and Piglet walk side by side beneath a big, bent tree trunk with rough, scratchy bark lines. Pooh is on the left, smiling, in his short shirt with one arm swinging back and one arm reaching toward his friend. Piglet is on the right, much smaller, wearing a striped shirt and holding Pooh's hand with a happy open-mouthed smile. Slanted lines at the top look like falling rain, and the wavy outline above suggests leaves or branches. A few grass tufts sit in the bottom left corner. The shapes are large and the lines are bold, so this page works well for younger kids. Try coloring the rain in cool blues and greys, then use warm reds and pinks for the shirt and Piglet's stripes so the two friends stand out from the brown tree. It also makes a nice prompt for talking about friendship and walking together on a rainy day.
