Pumbaa Grinning Beside Nervous Timon and Tall Trees

A big warthog sits upright in the middle of the page with his head tipped back and a wide grin, one long tusk curving up beside his flat snout. A tuft of spiky hair stands up on top of his head, and more spiky hair runs down his neck and back. Little burst shapes near his tail make it look like something just happened. In the lower left corner, a small meerkat with a wide-eyed, worried face leans against a tree trunk, arms hanging down. Tall straight tree trunks fill the background. Try coloring the warthog in warm browns and tans, then pick a lighter shade for the meerkat so he stands out against the big trunks. It also works well for talking about size differences and facial expressions with younger kids.
