Pumpkin-Hauling Monster Truck at the Farm Barn

Coloring guide
The open wooden bed of this cheerful monster truck is piled high with pumpkins, and it looks ready for an autumn farm drive. Its eyes are big and round and its smile is wide. Huge chunky tires carry it along, with coil springs and an axle visible underneath, and a row of round lights decorates the cab roof. A red-barn-style building with crossed doors stands behind it beside a wooden fence, and leafy maple trees frame both sides of the page. More fallen leaves are scattered over the dirt road in front. Tires and pumpkins are roomy enough for chunky crayon strokes, and the detailed tread works well with markers. Orange pumpkins and a deep green or blue truck make the harvest load stand out. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the pumpkins in the truck bed and on top of the load: fill them all with pumpkin orange, and leave the little stems and highlights unfilled if you like.
- 2Color the truck's body, hood and fenders bright blue, then use dark blue for the edges and lower parts to give the truck depth.
- 3Fill the barn with barn red, its roof with slate blue, and the big autumn trees with golden yellow, adding the leaves on the left tree in bright red-orange.
- 4Color the grass and bushes with forest green and lime green, and the dirt path with wheat tan. Use warm brown for the wooden truck bed planks and the tree trunks.
- 5Fill both giant tires with charcoal gray and the axles and bumper bars with steel gray. Color the grille and mirrors light gray, the headlights and windshield pale blue, and the smile coral pink, leaving the two big eye whites bright white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on one side of each pumpkin and the tires with a deeper shade of the same color to make them pop.
