Puppy Dog Pals Floating in a Spaceship Cabin
Coloring guide
Two grinning puppies in bubble-helmet space suits drift weightlessly around a spaceship cabin on this free printable coloring page. The bigger pup on the left has long floppy ears and a small camera-like gadget on its chest. The smaller one on the right stretches out a paw, mouth open happily. Through the round portholes behind them you can see a ringed planet, a cratered moon, a striped planet and lots of twinkling stars. The cabin also holds a bone, a striped ball, a star-covered ball, a storage trunk and a control panel full of dials and buttons. Little kids can handle the big shapes on the suits and planets, while the control panel gives older kids something fiddly to work on. Soft purples and golds look nice on the ringed planet, and a bright cream bone will pop against the dark space view. - 1Start with the big background walls, windows and floor: fill them with light steel blue and powder blue, leaving the small highlight spots on the helmets white.
- 2Color the two puppies' fur in golden tan, and the small puppy's floppy ear and top patch in caramel brown.
- 3Fill the helmet glass domes with ice blue, and add navy blue to the space window behind the puppies so the stars stand out.
- 4Color the planets and balls: navy blue, royal blue, bright sky blue, grass green, lavender purple, golden yellow rings, and amber orange for the planet ring.
- 5Color the suitcase in royal blue, the spacesuits and bone in cream white, and the backpack gadgets in light gray, leaving the bright shine spots white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the puppies' fur and along the edges of the suits to give the drawing more depth.
