Eye at the Center of a Starburst Mandala

Eye at the Center of a Starburst Mandala coloring sheet

Coloring guide

A single eye sits in the middle of a round white circle, with a visible iris, a small pupil made of tiny radiating lines, and a row of eyelashes along the upper lid. Around it, a ring of tiny zigzag points leads out to long, thin crisscrossing lines that form a big starburst. Some of the pointed rays are filled in solid black and alternate with the open, outlined ones, so the whole design looks like a spiky sun. The overlapping lines create lots of small diamond and triangle shapes toward the center. Try coloring the spaces in rings, using warm shades near the eye and cooler shades toward the outer tips. Kids can also practice pattern skills by repeating a two or three color sequence around the circle. This printable page works well for quiet time or a lesson on symmetry.
