Rafiki Leaning on a Rock Chatting With Zazu

A baboon leans back against a rock in a relaxed pose, one arm stretched out behind him and the other hand gripping a tall wooden staff. The staff has a round gourd tied near the top. His face has swirly markings, a long beard and a tuft of fur on top of his head. Above him, a hornbill-type bird with a big curved beak swoops in with wings spread wide and feet tucked up. The background has rounded rocks and spiky tufts of grass. These two look like Rafiki and Zazu from The Lion King. Try soft grays and browns for the rocks, then give the baboon's face bright colors to make the markings stand out. The big wing feathers are good for practicing shading, and this free printable works well for kids who like detailed fur.
