Rafiki Crouching With His Staff Next to Timon

A mandrill sits crouched on a patch of grass, holding up a long curved staff in one hand. A round gourd with little rounded ears is tied near the top of the staff. The mandrill has a long face with ridged lines on the muzzle, shaggy fur around the head and shoulders, and a wide-eyed look aimed at the gourd. On the left, a small meerkat stands upright on a flat rock with both paws held close to its chest and a cheerful expression. A large boulder sits behind them, with grass tufts, a puddle-like patch of ground, and two flat stones in front. Try coloring the mandrill's face in bold contrasting shades so the ridged muzzle stands out, and keep the fur soft and earthy. This free printable page also works well for talking about how the two animals differ in size.
