Rainy Day Tractor Splashing Through Mud
Coloring guide
A boy in a cap rides in the cab of a big smiling tractor with round eyes as it drives through a muddy puddle, with raindrops falling from a fluffy cloud overhead. Mud splashes up around the chunky, deeply treaded tires, and a small pond sits in the bottom left corner. A friendly frog grins from the lower right, grass tufts dot the ground, and behind the tractor are rolling hills, a wooden fence, a little tree and a rainbow arching over the horizon. Thick outlines and big open areas keep it easy for young children. Brown and gray suit the mud splashes, red or green the tractor, and a classic rainbow the sky. A great free printable for a rainy afternoon. More like this: explore the Tractor, Monster Trucks and Cars coloring page collections.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sky areas: color the rain cloud, the puddles and the small puddles in sky blue, leaving the background sky white.
- 2Fill the tractor body, front bumper, hood and grille area with bright red, then color the cab roof in brick red for a little contrast.
- 3Color the rainbow bands and the hubcaps in golden yellow, and add the boy's cap in royal blue.
- 4Use charcoal gray for the tires, tire treads and the dark mud splashes, and use chocolate brown for the mud patches near the wheels.
- 5Color the grass, hills and bushes in grass green and lime green, then add peach to the boy's face and orange to the fence.
- 6Optional: add a little shading to the tires and the puddles with a slightly darker shade, and keep the eye whites and the exhaust highlight white.
