Rat Filled With Tiny Snowflakes Above 2020 Happy New Year

A rat stands in profile in the middle of the page, facing left, with a long striped tail curling up behind it. Its body is filled with small snowflake and star patterns, which gives you lots of tiny spaces to color. Below the rat, bold outlined numbers read 2020, with the words Happy New Year! written in cursive underneath. All around them are round hanging ornaments with zigzags, polka dots, stripes and star designs, plus candy canes, ribbons, and many snowflakes and stars in different sizes. Try coloring the rat in soft grays or browns and give each snowflake on its body a different pastel shade, then use brighter colors for the ornaments so the animal stands out. Older kids can practice pattern work by alternating two colors on the striped tail and the zigzag baubles. It also makes a nice printable card to personalize for a classroom or family celebration.
