Retro Computer Time with Garfield Typing
Coloring guide
Garfield leans lazily over an old-fashioned desktop computer, one paw pressing the keyboard and the other resting on top of the monitor. His eyes are half closed and he has a content, sleepy smile. A small window-style logo shows on the screen, and a coiled cable runs out the side of the computer. On the desk in front of him are two floppy disks and a stack of two closed books, and his striped tail curls up behind him. The big stripes on his head and body leave lots of room for bold color, and the chunky keyboard buttons are easy to fill in. Bright orange with dark brown stripes for Garfield and pale blue or gray for the computer is a good start. Grab the free PDF and print it at home for classroom time or a rainy day. This fits right in with our Garfield coloring pages — see also Kitten and Pusheen.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill Garfield's head, ears, and paws with orange, leaving the big eye whites and the paw fingers' highlights white, and color the nose coral pink.
- 2Color the computer base, monitor frame, and cable plug with pale beige, keeping the side panel white.
- 3Fill the monitor screen with sky blue, then add the small X-shaped icon on the screen in ice blue.
- 4Color the big front folder golden yellow, the folders behind it forest green, the top floppy disk red, and the lower floppy disk sky blue, keeping the little hole in the disk white.
- 5Fill the keyboard keys and the coiled cable with dark gray, leaving small gaps between keys so they stand out.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker orange on the shadowed fur and a touch of extra dark gray under the keyboard for depth.
