Road Trip Wagon Kids Waving, a Gravity Falls Page
Coloring guide
Two smiling kids wave from the windows of a vintage-style wagon with wood-panel sides, rolling along a winding country road. The girl with short hair leans out of the back side window. Up front, the boy sits with his hands on the steering wheel and one arm in the air. Strapped to the roof rack are two suitcases, a pitched tent and a rolled sleeping bag, all set for a camping trip. The background has tall pine trees, distant hills, puffy clouds, grass tufts and little pebbles scattered on the road. Round headlights, a grille and chunky tires leave lots of room for crayons. A warm brown for the wood panels and bright orange for the tent will really stand out against green pines. Print this free PDF for a classroom project or a weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the two clouds in light sky blue, then fill the hills and the big grassy areas at the sides with grass green.
- 2Color the pine trees with forest green, and use the same green for the rolled sleeping bag on the roof.
- 3Fill the van body, hood, roof, tent and mountains with bright blue, leaving the window glass and the white highlights unpainted.
- 4Color the suitcases: red for the stacked cases on the roof, deep blue for the top blue cases and their latches.
- 5Paint the faces and arms in skin peach, the girl's shirt in pink, the boy's shirt in orange, and his hair in brown.
- 6Finish with golden yellow headlights, light gray bumper and grille, charcoal gray tires, and steel gray wheel hubs. Optional: add a slightly darker shade of bright blue along the van's lower edges for depth.
