Admiring the Newest Puppy: Roger and Pongo in 101 Dalmatians
Coloring guide
This gentle 101 Dalmatians page shows Roger leaning forward with a warm smile, holding a tiny puppy wrapped in a soft cloth in his cupped hands. Pongo, the spotted Dalmatian, rests his front paws on Roger's arm and stretches his nose toward the little one, looking happy and curious. Roger wears a collared shirt under a sweater vest, and Pongo has a collar with a small tag. A plain wall, the corner of a picture frame and the edge of a couch sit behind them, which leaves lots of open space for backgrounds. Soft blue could go on Roger's vest, warm tan or pink on the blanket, and bold black spots on Pongo. Print it at home for classroom time or a rainy day. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the man's jacket and sweater: fill the sleeves, front, and sides with sky blue, leaving the small white highlights along the folds.
- 2Color the man's trousers and the lower part of the wall behind him with tan, then add navy blue to the darker jacket areas on his right side and lower body.
- 3Fill the man's face, ears, neck, and hands with peach, and color his hair with dark brown and medium brown, keeping a few lighter streaks.
- 4Paint the sofa and its shadows with dark brown and medium brown, and add caramel brown to the puppy's patches and ears.
- 5Color the dalmatian's ears and nose with slate gray and charcoal, and leave its white fur, cheeks, and front leg uncolored.
- 6Finish with the black necktie and the small details on the puppy's face and paws. Optional: add a few darker strokes in the shadows to add depth.
