Rooster Tipping His Head Back to Crow

Rooster Tipping His Head Back to Crow coloring page

Coloring guide

A cartoon rooster stands in profile with its head tipped up and its beak wide open, as if it is crowing. It has a large rounded comb on top of its head, a big friendly eye with a small shine in it, and a wattle hanging under the beak. The chest is puffed out with a few scalloped feather edges, and three long curved tail feathers sweep out behind the body. Zigzag lines mark the feathers on the back and wing. Two thin legs end in clawed feet, with ragged feathers at the tops of the legs. The outlines are clean and the shapes are big, so it works well for crayons or markers. Try red for the comb and wattle, then pick a different color for each of the three tail feathers. It also fits a farm unit or a morning-routine lesson about roosters crowing at sunrise.
