Rose Bud on a Tall Slanted Leafy Stem

Coloring guide
A single rose bud sits at the top of a tall, slightly slanted stem, with its petals wrapped into a closed cup shape and thick shadow lines along the left and right edges. Small pointed sepals curl out from the base of the bloom. Down the stem, two groups of leaves branch out. On the left, three leaves overlap with thin vein lines drawn inside them. Near the bottom, a rounded leaf sits beside a larger leaf on the right that has jagged, saw-like edges. The wide open areas inside the petals and leaves are easy to fill in, which makes this a nice pick for younger kids. Try a soft red or pink blend on the bud, then use two different greens so the smooth leaves and the toothed leaf look distinct. This printable page also works well for a quick lesson on the parts of a flower.
