Saber-Toothed Cat Roaring in a Jungle Leaf Wreath

A saber-toothed cat sits in the middle of a round wreath of leaves, with its mouth open wide and one long fang showing. Its head is turned to the right and its front paws grip the foliage, with sharp claws on each toe. The body has big curling swirls on the shoulder and hip, and a row of round dots and half circles runs along the back and the leg. Around the edge, palm fronds, banana-style leaves, small flower clusters, and a thin curling vine fill the whole circle with fine lines. Try coloring the cat in warm tans and oranges, then fill the dots with dark brown or black so they stand out. The leaves are a nice place to practice shading with several greens. It also works well for a lesson on prehistoric animals and rainforest plants.
