Sailboat Under Snowy Peaks – Color by Number (Adult)
Coloring guide
Wavy water carries a little sailboat past two snowcapped mountains, while a bright sun and some fluffy clouds hang overhead. The boat has two big triangular sails on either side of a tall mast, a striped hull, and a small circle with a flag at the very top. Over on the shore, pine trees sit on grassy mounds. Each section is marked with a number from 1 to 8, so you match number to color as you work, which makes it a relaxing activity at home or in class. Yellow suits the sun and the number 1 areas, white or light gray works for the sails, and blues fit the water in the number 4 spaces. The shapes are large and clear, so it's friendly for beginners and for anyone who wants an easy, step-by-step picture. Love this Color by Number (Adult) coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sun, the sail stripes, and the grass hills: color the sun golden yellow, the lower and right parts of the sails golden yellow, and the grassy hills bright green.
- 2Fill the upper parts of both sails with coral red, leaving the sail shapes clean and bold.
- 3Color the big sky and mountains sky blue, leaving the snowy peaks and the small cloud white.
- 4Paint the pine trees forest green and the boat hull and deck in dark brown and caramel brown, with the bottom of the hull the darker shade.
- 5Finish the water with sky blue on the wave shapes and the fish-like waves in the sea, keeping the gaps between waves white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker blue on the shadowed sides of the mountains for depth.
