A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

• burnt orange
• light blue
• scarlet red
• bright red
• bright gold
• forest green
• caramel brown
• coral pink
• chocolate brown
• light skin tone
• lemon yellow
• sky blue

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Color the big red parts first: Santa's coat, hat and sleigh in scarlet red, and the reindeer bodies in burnt orange.
2. 2Fill the sleigh trim, runners and stars with bright gold, and the gift sack with forest green.
3. 3Color the gifts in sky blue, bright red and purple, and add the reindeer antlers and hooves in chocolate brown and caramel brown.
4. 4Shade the reindeer ears and noses with coral pink and the Santa face with light skin tone, leaving the beard, the hat trim and the eye whites white.
5. 5Optional: Add a little darker shading in the reindeer legs and under the sleigh with dark brown for depth.
