Scarred Tabby Warrior Cats Prowl Through the Leafy Woods

Coloring guide
This scarred tabby walks straight toward you through a detailed forest, head low and eyes locked on the viewer. Look closely for a thin scratch near one eye, whiskers fanning out on both sides and fluffy fur on the chest. Bold stripes run down the forehead, legs and body. Big outlined leaves crowd the left side, a tree trunk stands in the upper right, and rounded bushes fill the background. Near the front paws you'll find small grass tufts and a pebble. Large leaf shapes and easy-to-follow stripes make it a nice pick for kids who want a little challenge. Warm browns and golden oranges suit the coat, with several shades of green on the leaves so the cat stands out. The free PDF needs no sign-up. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the cat's fur, body, legs and face with tabby tan, leaving the left eye white and the cat's pale patches unfilled.
- 2Color the cat's chest, chin and front paws with cream to make the light belly area stand out.
- 3Paint the inside of both ears coral pink and the tree trunk and top canopy chocolate brown.
- 4Color the leaves, bushes and grass with fresh green, then add medium green and olive green for depth, and dark forest green for the darkest leaves on the left.
- 5Fill the right eye with pale sage, keep the background white, and finish with the fine details.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker tan along the cat's stripes and under the bushes to give the picture more depth.
