A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big sky area with a pale blue, and color the distant hills with a sky blue, leaving the clouds white.
- 2Color the grass, bushes, and tree leaves with lime green and leaf green, and add golden yellow to the field patches in the background.
- 3Color the sheep fleece with cream, keeping the dog's white fur and the clouds white so they stand out.
- 4Color the shepherd's vest moss green, his trousers and belt brown, his boots dark olive, and his hat and hat brim tan. Color his face, hands, and shoulder bag peach.
- 5Color the dog's dark patches and body with slate gray, leaving its white chest, legs, and tail white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the sheep and grass with a deeper green or tan to add depth.
