Big Shiny Apple With One Leaf

Coloring guide
This page is all about one round apple, drawn with thick, smooth outlines that small hands can follow easily. A short stem leans a little to one side as it rises from the dip at the top, and a single pointed leaf with a curved center vein tips off to the right. On the right side of the fruit you'll find a glossy streak shaped like a curve, with a tiny oval dot below it, so the apple looks shiny. The background is plain white, which means nothing else needs coloring. Those big open areas are great practice for preschoolers and kindergartners learning to stay in the lines. Red works well for the apple, and if you leave the highlight white it will look like it's catching the light. Add green for the leaf and brown for the stem. It's free to print whenever you need a quick afternoon activity. Love this Apple coloring page? You might also enjoy our Girl Power and Hot Dog coloring pages.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- apple red
- grass green
- chestnut brown
- light tan
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big apple body: fill it in with apple red, working in gentle strokes all the way to the outline.
- 2Color the single leaf with grass green, leaving a thin light line along its middle vein if you like.
- 3Fill the long curved stem with chestnut brown, then color the small round top of the stem with light tan.
- 4Leave the long curved shine and the small round dot on the apple white so they look like glossy reflections.
- 5Optional: add a few darker red strokes near the bottom edge of the apple to give it a bit of shading and depth.
