One Tall Candle on a Scalloped Birthday Cake

A round single-layer birthday cake sits on a flat plate, with one tall candle standing in the middle of the top. The candle has a teardrop-shaped flame, and short lines around it show that it is glowing. Two rows of scalloped, bubble-like frosting run around the cake, one near the top and one near the bottom. Between them, the words Happy Birthday are written in outlined letters, so kids can color right inside the lettering. The same greeting appears in large thin letters across the top of the page. The shapes are big and the lines are clean, which makes this a good fit for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Try coloring each scallop a different shade to practice patterns, then use a bright yellow or orange for the flame. It is a free printable that works well for a birthday party table or a classroom card project.
