Simple Porpoise Outline With Large Dorsal Fin

Simple Porpoise Outline With Large Dorsal Fin coloring page

Coloring guide

A single smooth-bodied porpoise swims to the left in this simple line drawing. The head is rounded with a short, straight mouth line and one small dot for an eye. A tall, triangular dorsal fin rises from the middle of the back and leans slightly toward the tail. One flipper angles down from the lower body, and the tail flukes stretch out at the right end with a small notch visible near the base. There is no background, so the whole page is open white space. The large body areas are easy for little hands to fill in. Try coloring it in soft grays and blues, then leave a lighter patch on the belly to show how many sea animals are darker on top and paler underneath. A free printable like this also works well for a short lesson on how porpoises and dolphins look different, especially the fin and the rounded head.
