Six-Petal Flower Viewed From Above

Coloring guide
A single flower is drawn straight on, as if you were looking down into the bloom. Six large rounded petals spread out evenly around the middle, each one coming to a soft point at the tip. Thin lines fan out from the center along the inner part of the petals, and a small narrow shape sits right in the middle where everything meets. A few short dashes and curved edge lines on some petals hint at folds and shine. The outlines are bold and the petals are big, so there is plenty of room for crayons, markers, or watercolor. Try coloring each petal in a slightly different shade of purple or pink, then keep the center lines darker so the middle stands out. It also works well for talking about petals and symmetry, since kids can count all six. Print as many copies as you like.
