Skylar the Winged Jaguar from Elena of Avalor
Coloring guide
This big, friendly winged cat sits upright with its head tilted and a happy open-mouthed grin. It looks like Skylar, the spirit jaguar from Elena of Avalor. Two large feathered wings reach up behind the shoulders, and the long tail curls around the front, ending in a fan of feathery tips. There are spots on the chest, front legs and tail, and big round eyes and a heart-shaped nose give the face lots of personality. The animal is alone on the page with no background. Those wide wing feathers are good for careful strokes, and the spots are just right for small markers. Golden yellow for the body, deep orange for the spots, and bright turquoise or purple on the wings make a fun combo. Print this free page for a quiet creative break. - 3Color the wing membranes and the lower wing feathers with sky blue, then add light blue to the middle wing feathers and tail feathers.
- 4Color the top wing feather, the tips of the big wing and the tail fan feathers with royal blue, leaving the back wing and the top right tail feather white.
- 5Add chocolate brown to the spots on the body and dusty mauve inside the open mouth, keeping the teeth white.
- 6Optional: Add a few darker strokes of golden orange or royal blue along the edges of the feathers and tail to give them depth.
