Sleeping Baby Dragon in a Nest, Free How to Train Your Dragon Coloring Page

Coloring guide
Curled up in a woven twig nest with its chin on its little paws, this sleepy baby dragon has closed eyes and a gentle smile. Two striped horns sit on its head, a small bat-style wing is tucked behind it, and its tail wraps around the edge of the nest. Right beside it are three big polka-dot eggs. Leaves poke out around the rim, a leafy branch stretches across the top left corner, and two fluffy clouds float in the upper right. Younger kids will like the large, open shapes, while the twisted twigs and dots give older children something to work on. Try soft sage green on the dragon and warm peach and lavender on the spotted eggs. This free printable is a calm pick for quiet time or a bedtime-themed activity. Looking for more? - 2Fill the wing tip and the small leaf near the nest with forest green.
- 3Paint the horns and the pale patch under the front paw with butter yellow.
- 4Color the three eggs and the small cloud in sky blue and baby blue, leaving the polka-dot circles white.
- 5Fill the branch and nest twigs with warm brown, use dark brown for the twig at the left, and olive green for the shaded leaves.
- 6Add tangerine orange to the spikes along the back and tail, then use burnt orange for the small tail spike and leave the background white. Optional: add a slightly darker green along the edges of the body for depth.
