Sleeping Garfield on a Park Bench Above the Food Trash
Coloring guide
Fast asleep and sprawled on his back across a slatted park bench, Garfield has a big speech bubble with a single letter Z above him. His oversized feet are propped on the bench back, one arm and one leg hang over the front, and a little bird sits on top of the bench beside his shoes. Under the bench is a messy heap of leftovers: a crumpled chips bag, a bucket with a straw, a bottle, sandwich pieces and scattered crumbs. Thick clean lines and large open shapes are great for kids who like to color at their own speed. Bright orange with dark stripes fits Garfield, sunny yellow suits the bird, and reds, browns and greens work for the junk food. Print this free page whenever you need a quick coloring break. - medium gray
- golden yellow

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big cushion and pillow shapes on the left and behind the head by filling them with pale cream, leaving the bird head and white highlights untouched.
- 2Color Garfield's whole body, head, ears, and legs with tangerine orange, keeping the eye whites and the white paper scraps empty.
- 3Fill the bench slats and seat with grass green, and the blue blanket behind Garfield's head and the Z letter with sky blue.
- 4Add the bird's body in sky blue and the cushion and trash pieces in honey gold and tomato red, making the food boxes and cups bright.
- 5Use lemon yellow and golden yellow for the fries box, the chin, and the crumpled trash, then add the caramel brown and light gray details on the trash pile.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker orange along the edges of Garfield's body to give him a bit of shading, and leave the speech bubble white.
