Sleepy Lion Cub Napping Beside Little Flowers
Coloring guide
Curled up on the grass, this sleepy cub rests its head on its two front paws, eyes gently closed with tiny lashes and a soft smile. It has a fluffy tuft of fur on its head, big round ears, and a tail that wraps across the front of its body and ends in a small furry tip. Three simple flowers with rounded petals sit nearby: one on the left with leaves, a tiny one in the middle and another on the right, along with a few small tufts of grass. Bold, clean outlines keep this free printable easy for little hands. Golden yellow and warm orange suit the cub, deeper brown the head tuft and tail tip, and bright pinks or purples the flowers. It makes a calm pick for quiet time or nap-time themes. Fans of Lion coloring pages often like Bat and Cow as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big brown areas: fill the lion cub's head, curled body, hind leg, shoulder and both front paws with warm tan brown, leaving the small shine on the nose white.
- 2Color the inside of both ears with soft pink so they stand out against the brown fur.
- 3Fill the tip of the tail with pale cream, keeping the brown fur along the rest of the tail.
- 4Paint the left flower's petals sky blue and its center golden yellow, then color the right flower's petals coral pink with a golden yellow center.
- 5Color the small flower in the middle lavender purple, and fill the leaves with leaf green. Use charcoal gray for the left flower stem and light gray for the right one.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of warm tan brown on the shadowed parts of the body and paws for a bit of depth.
