Sleepy Teddy Bear in Bed, Huggy Wuggy (Poppy Playtime) Page
Coloring guide
Fast asleep in a small bed, a fluffy little bear has closed eyes and a gentle smile, with its head on a pillow and both paws tucked up by its chin. It's filed under Huggy Wuggy, but this isn't the tall blue Poppy Playtime character. This is a soft, round-faced bear with fuzzy fur and tiny round ears. A patchwork quilt covers the bed, with polka-dot squares and big stars to fill in. The headboard posts have round knobs. Behind the bed, a window with tied-back curtains shows a crescent moon and three stars in the night sky. It's a free printable that suits bedtime activities. Deep navy and purple would work for the sky, warm golden yellow for the moon and stars, and soft pastels for the quilt squares. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big night sky: fill the window panes with navy blue, leaving the moon and stars for later.
- 2Color the bear's fluffy head, arms and paws with warm brown, and the inner ears with light tan.
- 3Fill the pillows and the curtains with pale blue, and the curtain tiebacks with medium blue.
- 4Color the quilt squares: use bright red and grass green for the polka dot and plain squares, and medium blue and golden yellow for the rest.
- 5Add the bed posts, headboard and window frame in warm brown, then finish with golden yellow stars and the moon, keeping the white edges of the blanket and gaps white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker brown shadow along the bear's fur edges for a bit of depth.
