A drowsy bear with closed eyes and a tiny smile is tucked into a small wooden bed, paws resting on top of the blanket. Its head sits on a star-dotted pillow, and the quilt is covered in crescent moons and stars. Behind the bed, a four-pane window with tied-back curtains looks out on a big crescent moon and more twinkling stars. Round knobs on the bed posts add a few more simple shapes to fill in. Soft blues and purples would suit the blanket and pillow, with warm yellow for the moon and stars and golden brown for the fur. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the bear's head, paws, and body areas with light brown, leaving the muzzle and inner ears in cream.
- 2Fill the headboard, footboard, and bed posts with light brown, and color the headboard top rail darker with dark brown.
- 3Color the blanket with royal blue and the wide top edge with pale blue.
- 4Fill the pillows with sky blue, then add the star and moon details in golden yellow.
- 5Color the window panes and curtains: midnight blue for the night sky, sky blue for the curtain tiebacks, and pale blue for the curtains.
- 6Add the golden yellow crescent moon and stars in the window, leaving the wall space and thin wall line white. Optional: add darker blue shading near the blanket folds for depth.
