On a sandy shore, a happy baby sea turtle with big sparkly eyes and an open-mouthed grin wears a crown of hibiscus and plumeria flowers and leaves on its head. A curling ocean wave and a small splash rise behind it, with a few wavy lines for the sea. The patterned shell and spotted flippers offer lots of shapes to color. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the turtle's head, body, and flippers in lime green, leaving the eye whites and eye shine spots white.
- 2Fill the shell with dark forest green, and use deep green for the darker shell sections.
- 3Paint the sea and waves on the right and left in sky blue, leaving the white foam on the wave tops white.
- 4Color the hibiscus flower crown petals in cherry red and the plumeria flowers in golden yellow, with rose pink for the bottom flowers.
- 5Add grass green to the leaves around the crown and bottom left, and pale yellow to the belly plate.
- 6Optional: Add yellow green dots on the flippers and a little coral pink on the open mouth for a cheerful finish.
