Smiling Baseball Catcher Crouching in Full Gear

A cartoon baseball catcher squats low and holds out a big stitched mitt right in front of his chest. He wears a face mask with wide horizontal bars, and his round eyes and big grin show through. The chest protector has oval slots across it, and strapped shin guards cover his legs above two large cleats with spikes on the bottom. The thick, simple outlines leave plenty of room for crayons or markers, so younger kids can manage it easily. Try coloring the mitt in warm leather browns, then pick a team color for the chest protector and shin guards. It also works well for a baseball unit, where kids can name each piece of catcher's equipment as they color it in. This page is free to print for a classroom or a rainy afternoon.
