Little Bear Taking a Tennis Swing
Coloring guide
This cheerful little bear is caught mid-swing, gripping the racket with both paws as a ball zooms through the air at the upper right. He has a striped headband, a V-neck shirt with trim on the sleeves, shorts with a side stripe, sneakers and socks, and a grin that shows his tongue. Behind him are a chain-link fence, two rounded bushes peeking over the top, and court lines on the ground, plus the net across the bottom of the page. Racket strings, fuzzy head fur and fence diamonds add lots of small spaces to fill. A sunny yellow ball and a bright blue headband and shirt would stand out against a green fence. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- ocean blue
- warm brown
- sea green
- leaf green
- lime green
- light gray
- lemon yellow
- baby pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the tennis court and the bear's shorts: color the court areas and shorts in ocean blue, and leave the white lines and the white stripe on the shorts uncolored.
- 2Color the bear's face, head, arms, hand and legs in warm brown, keeping the white sleeve stripes and white shirt blank.
- 3Fill the headband in ocean blue, leaving its white stripe, and color the racket frame's left edge in ocean blue too.
- 4Add the tennis ball in lemon yellow and the inside of both ears in baby pink, then color the net at the bottom in sea green.
- 5Color the side strips of the court in leaf green and the bushes behind the fence in lime green, then fill the fence posts with light gray.
- 6Optional: Leave the shirt, shoes, socks and racket frame white for a crisp look, and add a little darker shading to the bear's shadow side for depth.
