Smiling Boy with Birthday Cake and Balloons

A happy boy wearing a pointy party hat with a fringed pom-pom on top peeks out from behind a two-layer birthday cake. He has short spiky hair, big round eyes, small ears, and a wide smile. Seven candles with little flames sit on top of the cake, and wavy icing drips down both layers. The cake rests on a round plate. Behind the boy is a bunch of big round balloons, with a few on long strings off to the right, each marked with a curved shine highlight. The large shapes are easy to fill in, which makes this a good fit for younger kids. Try giving each of the seven candles a different color, then count them out loud together. This free printable also works well as a handmade birthday card cover for a friend or classmate.
