Here a happy little bunny pops out of a cracked eggshell with both paws resting on the zigzag broken edge. Sparkly eyes, a tiny nose, an open smile and whiskers make for a sweet, friendly face, and a small tuft of fur sticks up on top of its head. The two tall ears have inner outlines, so kids can color a pink or lavender middle against a different outer shade. The big, smooth egg leaves lots of room for stripes, polka dots or zigzags in bright spring colors. Grass blades and three flowers with round centers finish off the bottom. Thick, clear lines make it a nice free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids with crayons or markers, especially in Easter week. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big egg bottom and fill it with butter yellow, leaving a little gap around the edges for a clean look.
- 2Color the two bunny paws and the zigzag piece of shell between them with caramel brown.
- 3Fill the inside of both long ears, along with the nose and the open mouth tongue, with soft pink.
- 4Color the two shell pieces at the top left and top right with lavender purple and sky blue, then add the flowers: lavender purple petals and butter yellow centers on the left and soft pink petals on the right, with sky blue on the small flower in the middle.
- 5Leave the bunny's face, eye whites and the shine spots in the eyes white so they pop.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading on the egg with a slightly darker yellow along the bottom edge for depth.
