Geometric Butterfly and Flower Math Pixel Art Shapes
Coloring guide
A cheerful butterfly with big sparkly eyes and a happy smile perches on a large daisy-like flower with its wings spread wide. The wings are filled with simple circles, triangles and diamonds, so there's lots to talk about while coloring. Kids can count the shapes, sort them by type, or color every circle the same to practice matching. Below the butterfly, the flower has rounded petals, a tall stem, two big leaves and little grass tufts on each side. The lines are clean and thick, so this free printable suits preschoolers and early elementary kids learning basic geometry. Try yellow for all the triangles, purple for the diamonds and orange for the circles, then finish the flower in pink. This fits right in with our Math Pixel Art coloring pages — see also Activity Sheets and Alphabet.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the flower petals and the stem: color the petals lilac purple, the center sunny yellow, and the stem and both leaves leaf green.
- 2Fill the butterfly's wings: color the wing sections rose pink and the bands between them sky blue, leaving the thin outer edges royal blue.
- 3Color the wing circles sunny yellow, the diamonds violet, and the triangles tangerine orange.
- 4Color the body and head: the head and antenna balls sunny yellow, the abdomen stripes alternating tangerine orange and golden amber, and the legs tangerine orange.
- 5Optional: Add a little lilac purple to the lower legs and keep a small white highlight in the gap at the bottom of the abdomen.
- 6Finish by outlining the wing edges in royal blue and leaving the background white.
