Round Spiderweb with a Grinning Cartoon Spider

Coloring guide
Right in the middle of an oval spiderweb sits a happy little spider. It has two big round eyes with shiny highlights, small eyebrows and a wide open smile. Stripes run across its rounded body behind the head, and eight thick, bendy legs reach out on both sides. The web fills the whole page inside a bold outline, with straight lines running out from the center and curved threads crossing between them. Large, simple shapes mean younger kids can color without much trouble, and it works well as a free printable for Halloween or a bug lesson. Purple or orange would suit the striped body, and the web can stay white or turn soft gray or pale blue. A black crayon is handy for the eyes. Kids who like Spider coloring pages usually enjoy Ghost and Bat too.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- sky blue
- pale blue
- bright orange
- lavender purple
- deep purple
- coral pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the outer rim of the web circle and the outer web sections, coloring them sky blue and leaving the white gaps between strands.
- 2Fill the inner web sections and the spaces around the spider with pale blue, keeping the web lines clean.
- 3Color the spider's round head and top body band lavender purple, then add deep purple to the darker stripes on the abdomen.
- 4Color all eight spider legs bright orange, working from the top legs down to the bottom ones.
- 5Add the smile in coral pink and leave the eye whites and small shine spots white.
- 6Optional: add a little extra pressure with darker strokes along the edges of the abdomen stripes for a bit of depth.
