Big Close-Up Chameleon Face with Round Eyes

Peeking right out of the page, this chameleon is shown in a big close-up with a wide, gentle smile and huge round eyes with shiny dark pupils. Small scale shapes cover the head, the cheeks and the bumpy turret around each eye, so there's lots of fine detail to color. A pointed crest with a scalloped edge rises from the top of the head, and a curved neck runs down toward the lower left. Behind it sit two large leaves with simple center veins, one at the upper right and one at the bottom right. Kids who like patient, detailed coloring will enjoy this free printable on a quiet afternoon. Blend greens, yellows and turquoise across the scales, then choose a different shade for the leaves so the chameleon stands out. This fits right in with our Chameleon coloring pages — see also Puppies and Cats.
