Rainbow Behind a Patterned Chameleon on a Branch
Coloring guide
A friendly chameleon with a big round eye and a happy smile sits on a leafy branch while a rainbow arches behind it, with a small cloud at each end. Its body is full of patterns: vertical stripes filled with diamonds and circles, a tall pointed casque on the head with diamond shapes, and a spiky ridge down the back. The striped legs hold the branch tightly and the long tail curls into a spiral at the bottom. A few leaves sprout from the branch and the page corner. Big open spaces and simple shapes make this a good pick for kids who enjoy coloring patterns. Pick a different bright color for every body stripe, then match the rainbow bands to those same colors so the whole picture ties together. Download and print it to add to your coloring collection. - 1Start with the rainbow: color the top band red, then orange, yellow, green and blue, leaving the two clouds white.
- 2Fill the chameleon's body and tail with lime green, then add the bands of orange and lemon yellow across the body and tail, following the stripes.
- 3Color the branch in warm brown and the leaves in grass green, with the spiral tail in mustard and golden yellow for variety.
- 4Add the little diamonds in sky blue and the dots in tomato red across the body, and color the head crest and cheek area with lemon yellow.
- 5Optional: Keep the eye whites, the small white dot near the mouth and the background white for a bright, clean look.
