Up on a big spotted mushroom cap sits a happy little chameleon with large round eyes, holding the edge with its toes and curling its tail into a neat spiral behind it. Oval spots decorate its back and sides, and small spikes run along the spine. Down below, the scene fills in with grass tufts, two daisy-style flowers with round centers, a smaller flower near the stem, and a cheerful snail with a swirly shell and eye stalks sliding along the ground. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the mushroom cap bright red, leaving the round spots white.
- 2Fill the chameleon's head, body and curly tail with lime green, then color the back spikes forest green.
- 3Add sunny yellow to the chameleon's back spots and pale lime to its belly, keeping the big eye whites white.
- 4Fill the mushroom stem and the gills under the cap with cream white and pale beige.
- 5Color the snail shell warm orange, its body light gold, and the flowers in lavender purple, sky blue and soft pink with grass green leaves.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading under the mushroom cap and along the chameleon's body for depth.
