Dad at the Grill Turning Hot Dog Sausages in an Apron
Coloring guide
A smiling man with short hair stands behind a round charcoal grill, tongs in hand, flipping four sausages on the grate. He's wearing a collared short-sleeve shirt and a big apron with a front pocket. Wavy lines curl up from the grill to show heat and smoke. A wooden picket fence runs behind him, with a leafy tree on the right, and flowers, grass tufts, and small bushes fill the garden below. The grill stands on legs and has side handles. The apron and shirt leave lots of open space for coloring. Reddish-brown shades suit the sausages, a bold stripe color the apron, and sunny yellows and pinks the flowers. It's a free PDF, so print a few extra copies to keep around. - 1Start with the skin areas: color the face, neck, and both hands in peach skin, leaving the eye whites and teeth white.
- 2Color the hair in chestnut brown and the tree trunk in bark brown.
- 3Fill the shirt, sleeves, and collar with sky blue, and the jeans on both legs with royal blue.
- 4Color the big apron and the grill bowl in tomato red, adding the pocket, straps, and tie in the same or a matching red shade.
- 5Paint the fence pickets wheat yellow, the tree leaves and bushes grass green, and the grill legs and tongs silver gray; keep the fence gaps and background white.
- 6Finish with the sausages in sausage brown, the flower petals in golden yellow with bright orange centers, and the grill handles in charcoal gray. Optional: add a little darker shading along the edges of the apron and bowl for depth.
