Smiling Dolphin Swimming Toward You With Tail Curled

A friendly dolphin swims toward the viewer with its head turned forward and a gentle curved smile across its face. One round eye with a small shine spot sits near the cheek, and a tiny blowhole mark shows on top of the head. The tall pointed dorsal fin rises from the back, and the tail with its flukes stretches out to the left. A long flipper reaches toward the lower right, and a smaller flipper peeks out beneath the chin. The body is drawn with clean, bold outlines and big open areas, so it works well for younger kids with chunky crayons. Try shading the back darker gray or blue and keeping the belly lighter, then talk about how real dolphins have that two-tone look. The shine in the eye can be left white for a lively expression. This printable page is also a nice starting point for a lesson about ocean animals.
