Grinning right at you, this happy frog sits on a smooth rock with big sparkly eyes and a heart-decorated crown. Behind it, a tiered garden fountain sprays arcs of water into a rippling pool. Farther back, a small castle with three pointed towers and flags sits on a hill at the end of a winding path. Rounded bushes fill the middle, and flowers on leafy stems bloom along the left and across the bottom corners. The frog's spotted back legs and webbed toes have plenty of room for little hands. Bright green for the frog, golden yellow for the crown and soft sky blue for the fountain would be lovely. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the frog's body and head in lime green, leaving the eye whites and the small shine dots on the eyes white.
- 2Fill the frog's belly with pale lime, then color the grass and bushes around the castle and fountain in forest green and lime green.
- 3Color the castle walls in cream beige, the roofs in cherry red, and the door in chocolate brown, leaving the small window open in white.
- 4Paint the fountain water and pool in sky blue and pale blue, then color the fountain bowls and stems in pale blue.
- 5Color the crown in golden yellow, add the heart in hot pink, and fill the flower petals in rose pink with lemon yellow centers.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker green along the bottom of the leaves and the bushes to give the scene more depth.
