Girl Power Knight with Star Shield and Castle
Coloring guide
One hand on her hip and a big grin on her face, this young knight holds a pointed shield with a bold star in the middle. Her armor includes a plumed helmet with a visor, shoulder armor, a belt, a short tunic, knee guards and sturdy boots, and her ponytail flows out behind her. A small castle waits at the end of a winding path, with three pointed towers, little flags, arched windows and a wooden arched door. Round bushes and grass tufts dot the hills. Small hands can handle the large armor and shield shapes, while the castle and grass give older kids more to do. Purple or red works well for the star and the feather plume, and silvery grays and blues make the armor shine. A nice free printable for story time or a quiet afternoon. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big blue areas: color the shield body, the tunic and both legs in royal blue, leaving the star for later.
- 2Fill the plume, hair and belt with medium brown, and the boots with dark brown, to build the warm tones of the character.
- 3Color the castle walls and helmet in light gray, and the roofs in coral red, leaving the small flag and the highlights on the face and arm white.
- 4Paint the star, shield edge, knee guards, belt buckle and helmet trim in golden yellow, and the grass and bushes in grass green.
- 5Optional: Add a little silver gray to the shin and shoulder armor and soft peach to the face and neck for a softer look.
