Ribbon Dance Gymnastics Page With a Swirling Ribbon
Coloring guide
Standing on one pointed foot with her other leg kicked up behind her, this cheerful gymnast has one arm out to the side. Her raised hand holds a thin wand, and a long ribbon spirals around her in big loops before curling out near the floor. She has a neat top bun, a big smile, and a sparkly leotard with a swirled stripe design and small dots near the neckline, plus soft gymnastic shoes on her feet. A simple rectangle on the ground hints at a floor mat. Those wide ribbon loops and leotard stripes leave kids plenty of room to color. Pinks, purples and teals on the ribbon will make it look like it's really moving. You can download it as a free PDF for a classroom project or a weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the skin: fill the face, neck, both arms, and both legs with light peach, leaving the eye whites and teeth white.
- 2Color the hair with chestnut brown, leaving a few thin white streaks on the bun and the front for shine.
- 3Fill the swirling ribbon with hot pink, following its loops and leaving the background around it white.
- 4Color the leotard: bright rose on the chest and side panels, deep purple on the lower sections, and a thin golden yellow trim along the edges.
- 5Paint the ballet shoes with blush pink and the floor mat at the bottom with sky blue.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the ribbon folds and the shadowed side of the leotard to make the shapes pop.
