Waving Hot Dog Buddy on Little Legs

Coloring guide
Here's a happy hot dog standing tall on two little legs, waving with one raised hand while the other arm rests at its side. The sausage peeks out of a long bun with a small tuft on top, and it has big sparkly eyes and an open smile. One wavy stripe of mustard runs down its middle, and two round, chunky shoes finish the look. There's no background at all, so the page stays clean for younger kids still working on crayon control. The wide bun and squiggly mustard are simple to fill in, and the face gives older kids a bit more to enjoy. Golden yellow works for the mustard, warm tan for the bun, and reddish-brown for the sausage. It's a free printable that suits lunchtime or a food lesson. Kids who like Hot Dog coloring pages usually enjoy For Girls and For Kids too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the two bun halves on both sides of the hot dog: color them light tan, leaving the thin outlines dark.
- 2Fill the long sausage body in the middle and the two little legs with reddish brown.
- 3Color the wavy mustard stripe down the center bright yellow.
- 4Color both shoe tops sky blue, and keep the shoe soles white as shown.
- 5Fill the tongue in the open mouth with coral pink, then color the top edge of the mouth dark red.
- 6Leave the eye whites, waving hand, other hand, arm and shoe soles white. Optional: add a few light strokes of a darker shade along one side of the buns and sausage for depth.
