Kawaii Cupcake With a Heart for Thank You Cards

Coloring guide
Front and center sits a cheerful cupcake with a big round-eyed smile, a tall swirl of frosting and a single heart perched on the very top. The wrapper has simple vertical stripes and a scalloped top edge, and the face has shiny eyes, tiny curved eyebrows and a sweet smile. There's no background at all, so young artists can focus on the cupcake. Wide frosting swirls and the large heart are easy to fill in. Pink or lavender frosting with a bright red heart looks lovely, and you can alternate two colors on the wrapper stripes. As a free printable it suits a handmade thank you card, since kids can color it, cut it out or write a message next to it for a teacher, friend or helper. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the cupcake liner below the frosting in sky blue, filling each vertical stripe and the area around the face.
- 2Fill the frosting swirls, the wavy rim and the bands above it in baby pink, keeping the black lines between the swirls.
- 3Color the heart on top of the cupcake in cherry red.
- 4Leave the small white shine spots in the eyes untouched so the eyes look bright and cheerful, and keep the background white.
- 5Optional: add a slightly deeper pink along the bottom edge of each frosting swirl for a little depth.
