A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big red areas: color the car body, the nose panel and the helmet in bright red, leaving the helmet stripe for later.
- 2Fill the front wings, the nose bottom and the helmet center stripe with golden yellow.
- 3Color the tires charcoal gray, then add the wooden fence posts and roll bars in wood tan and the grass in grass green.
- 4Use sky blue for the driver shirt and peach for the face and waving hand, leaving the background white.
- 5Add royal blue and navy blue to the seatbelt, sleeve and seat details, and deep purple to the seat back.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the tires and helmet edges to make the car look rounder.
