Look closely and you'll see fluffy cheek fur, long whiskers, pointed ears, a few stripes on the forehead and a striped tail curling up on the left. The round belly and little back paws have thick, clear outlines, and the flower stem has two leaves. These simple shapes are easy for small hands. Soft orange and cream stripes suit the kitten, the hearts could go bright pink, and the flower might get a sunny yellow center with purple petals. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big orange areas: color the kitten face, chest, both back legs and the lower tail with tangerine orange, leaving the cream parts and the eye whites untouched.
- 2Fill the tail tip, the lower body base and the small cream patches near the flower with cream, so they look soft and light.
- 3Color the two ears and the pink nose and tongue with baby pink, then add the bright red hearts at the top.
- 4Paint the flower petals with sky blue and the flower center with golden yellow, then color the stem and both leaves with leaf green.
- 5Add caramel brown to the tail band and the two stripes on the forehead, and keep the eye whites and small eye shines white.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra orange shading along the edges of the body for a softer, more rounded look.
