Happy Ladybug Garden Scene with Daisy

A cheerful ladybug with big sparkly eyes and a happy smile rests on a large leaf. Two antennae curl up and end in round tips. The rounded shell is covered in big circle spots, which are easy for small hands to fill in. Six little legs hold onto the leaf, and curved veins run across it. Down in the bottom right corner, a daisy-style flower with a round center and rounded petals grows on a short stem with two leaves. Simple bold outlines and roomy shapes make it a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids. A red shell with black spots looks classic, and you could use two greens on the leaf and a sunny yellow center on the flower. The PDF is free to print. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big leaf and the right flower leaf with leaf green, and color the small patch of forest green peeking out under the ladybug and the left flower leaf with forest green.
- 2Color the ladybug's shell and the two antenna tips with ladybug red, and fill the small body area just below the shell with tangerine orange.
- 3Color the head with butter yellow, and fill the flower center with golden yellow.
- 4Fill all the flower petals with soft pink, leaving the eye whites and the smile unpainted.
- 5Color the shell spots, the legs and feet with charcoal gray, keeping the big eye whites white.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading by going over the shell and leaf edges with a slightly darker shade of the same color.
